"That's kind of impossible," the actress and children's book author told PEOPLE at the opening night of Freckleface Strawberry – the musical based on her book of the same name – on Friday in New York City.
"I admire people who manage that. We try to get out when we can," Moore, 49, adds. "We're like any other couple. It’s always difficult."
"I think at the end of the day, the most important thing really is your family," she continues.
And a supportive husband. "I'm always so proud of her," Freundlich, 40, says. Does he have any nicknames of his own for his flame-haired wife? "I stick to Julie," laughs the producer, adding, "It makes her easy to find at an event!"
