On Tuesday morning Arquette, 39 – who was not wearing his wedding ring – treated his little girl to a breakfast of eggs, toast and orange juice at Nate 'n Al's in Beverly Hills.
"David and Coco talked and seemed to have a great time," a diner tells PEOPLE. Still the actor, "looked exhausted," the diner adds.
Cox, 46, is on the set of her hit show Cougar Town.
