Christina Aguilera Speaks Out About Separation

Christina Aguilera confirmed Tuesday that she and husband Jordan Bratman have split after five years of marriage.

"Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever,” the singer tells PEOPLE in a statement.

Aguilera, 29, and Bratman, 33, wed in California's Napa Valley in Novembert 2005. Their son was born in January 2008.
