"It was just the two of us," Heigl, 31, told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM morning show Thursday. "It was like 8:30, 9 o'clock at night. [Josh] has been gone, he's been on tour. He's only home for three days ... We were totally just hanging out and making out in the hot tub – and by the way, it was so PG."
So what went wrong for the couple's night in? "This [neighbor] guy is always screaming at us," Heigl explains. "He starts screaming at us to go inside, and I'm like, 'I've had it. I've had enough of this. This is ridiculous. It's harassment, and I'm calling the police.' "
Heigl, who was dressed that night in her "most ridiculous bikini," says the next thing she knew, she and Kelley were being photographed chatting with police.
"We don't put a towel on, we don't put a robe on, we just go out there to chat about this neighbor we can't stand in our bathing suits and my boobs look ridiculous!" Heigl told iVillage.
"I think the thing that is most hilarious is that there's new footage of Josh and I in our bathing suits, like talking to the cops," she added to Seacrest. "We're like the most boring couple in Hollywood, and that's the most scandalous thing we've ever done."
