Country music duo Sugarland's lead singer Jennifer Nettles is going to fly solo in her latest gig – as host of the CMA Country Christmas, a 90-minute television special.

"I love the holidays," says Nettles, "and since this is my first time hosting a show, I am sure it will be full of laughs and surprises both for myself and for the folks watching."

Nettles, who just released a new Sugarland album, Incredible Machine, will lead a cast including Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker, Sheryl Crow, Kellie Pickler, LeAnn Rimes and more on the show, set to air Nov. 29 on ABC (9:30 p.m.). The musicians will perform Christmas classics and share their personal and family holiday traditions with a live audience when the show is taped in Nashville the day after CMA Awards on Nov. 10.

The CMA Awards, hosted for the third consecutive year by Paisley and Carrie Underwood, will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.

Gwyneth Paltrow, whose upcoming film Country Strong will premiere in Nashville on Nov. 8, will make her country music debut when she performs the title track live with Vince Gill on the awards show.
