Of all the celebrity feuds over the years, Oprah Winfrey and Whoopi Goldberg's may have been the most low-key.
"Whoopi came up to me and she said, 'Can I just ask you something?' She said … 'Did I do something to you?' " Winfrey recalls during a Color Purple reunion airing Monday on The Oprah Show.
"I said, 'What are you talking about?' " Winfrey, 54, explains. "[Whoopi] says, 'All these years, you know, we've been disconnected and I just want to know, did I do something?' I said, 'All these years I thought you were mad at me.' "
Goldberg, who turns 55 Saturday, hasn't appeared on Winfrey's show in nearly 20 years, but doesn't recall any fight between the two. "It's crazy," she replies.
"It's crazy," Winfrey agrees. "So I thought, you think I'm mad at you? I thought you were mad at me," adding, "What was that?"
Goldberg replies, "Who knows?"
Other cast members also attended the reunion, including Danny Glover.
