"Bill Nye is feeling much better after a good night's rest," his rep, Glenn Schwartz, tells USA Today. "He says he pushed himself too hard after a long day of an early satellite media tour combined with a late night speech."
The TV personality, 54, best known for his Emmy winning Bill Nye the Science Guy, fainted multiple times during his presentation, according to various reports, but was determined to finish his speech on science education.
At one point, however, he was slurring his speech and stumbled against his laptop, an audience member told the Los Angeles Times.
While he initially refused to sit down, Nye was eventually removed from the stage and attended to by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.
