HOMETOWN PRIDE

"St. Louis Cathedral is an emblem of New Orleans," says Batt, who owns a home decor shop in the Big Easy. "It means a lot to me."

TOUCAN-DO

Batt's tree-trimming mantra? "The more bizarre the animal on your tree, the more fun it is!"

GO BANANAS

"I especially love this one because my father called me 'Monkey,' " Batt says.

REGARDS TO BROADWAY

"When I did theater, every show would be commemorated with an ornament," says Batt, 47, who played Lumiere in the musical Beauty and the Beast. "It's like you have your life reflected on the Christmas tree."

HOLIDAY HEIRLOOMS

"My grandmother got these in Europe in the '50s. I come from a long line of Christmas nuts."

PARIS MATCH

"Friends took Tom [Cianfichi, his partner] and me to Paris for our 10th anniversary," he says. "We had to commemorate that."

SILLY SALUTE

"I think it's hysterical to have Napoleon on my tree. I also have George Washington," he says.

ANCIENT HISTORY

"I got Nefertiti while doing Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," he says. "It's set in biblical Egypt."
