The father of three missing Michigan brothers appeared in court Wednesday as police announced that general volunteer searches will end by the weekend.

Morenci, Mich., Police Chief Larry Weeks, says that no bodies have been found but that their father John Skelton has provided information to investigators.

Skelton, 39, is being detained in Ohio on $3 million bond on parental kidnapping charges. In a Toledo courtroom, he refused to waive extradition from Ohio to Michigan and an extradition hearing has been scheduled for Dec. 14.

The search will continue through Friday evening after which the general searches being conducted by volunteers will be scaled back. Any more searches will be conducted by police and fire officials based on specific leads.

"I've made a decision that as of Friday, we would ask to discontinue the volunteer searches," says Weeks.

Authorities have said they fear a dire outcome in the case of 9-year-old Andrew, 7-year-old Alexander and 5-year-old Tanner Skelton, who were reported missing Friday after their father attempted suicide.
