Kim Zolciak's Singing on Real Housewives of Atlanta: Is It Getting Better?

Sunday's Real Housewives of Atlanta was jam-packed, as usual, with drama as NeNe Leakes continued to feel isolated from her husband Gregg after filing for divorce the week before.

Meanwhile, Cynthia Bailey's fiancé, Peter, seemed to be having business problems. His response? To grouse and be generally grumpy toward his fiancée and her BFF NeNe Leakes. Peter and NeNe enjoy a fun rapport, and have, for weeks, seemed like good friends, making his cold response to her at Kandi Burruss's racing event, and even colder phone call later, all the more puzzling.

And then there was Kim Zolciak.

For weeks, Kandi has been imploring Kim to go back to vocal coach Jan Smith and get some help as she continues working on her music career and recording a new single, "The Ring Didn't Mean a Thing." Zolciak has seemed like a less than enthusiastic student in the past, continuing to chain smoke and drink and basically ignore Kandi's advice.

But on Sunday's episode, Zolciak paid Jan Smith a visit and appeared to be serious about fine tuning her less than stellar vocal instrument. At least in front of the cameras, Zolciak seemed to take Smith's coaching seriously – but only time will tell if her efforts will pay off.

In the meantime, she has to begin planning her stage show for her upcoming tour with Kandi. Perhaps her seemingly new attitude and enthusiasm about her career will propel Kim into action.
