• Ashley Olsen was a special guest at a pal's office holiday party at Patsy's in Manhattan. The starlet stopped by the group dinner and everyone was "having a great time," an onlooker says of the crowd, which enjoyed a buffet of classic Neapolitan food. Olsen also took home one of Patsy's cookbooks as a parting gift.

• Parents-to-be Penélope Cruz and hubby Javier Bardem stepped out for a cozy dinner at the Counter in Studio City, Calif., together. On the menu? A turkey burger for the pregnant actress.

• While in Sin City for her birthday celebration, Vanessa Hudgens made time for sweets and friends. The newly single actress hung out with Ashley Tisdale and Brittany Snow at Serendipity 3 inside Caesars Palace, where the ladies dined on frozen hot chocolate, crab cake salads and a triple-decker grilled cheese sandwich.

• Were they shopping for mom? Ben Affleck, doing some last-minute Christmas shopping with daughters Violet and Seraphina at Williams-Sonoma in Santa Monica, Calif. Affleck held Seraphina with one arm and carried a large Williams-Sonoma shopping bag in the other as he exited the shop.
