What a place to have an accelerator malfunction.

Dallas police detained a man whose Plymouth Barracuda ran off the road and on to the lawn of former President George W. Bush's home on Wednesday night, reports the local NBC station.

The Secret Service and the police questioned the man, but don't believe he meant any harm. The driver said his gas pedal simply got stuck.

Bush and his wife Laura were home at the time but never in danger, said a Bush spokesman.

The Bushes live on a public street, but it is gated and protected by the Secret Service. The driver of the Barracuda had been granted access to the Preston Hollow neighborhood.
