Oprah Winfrey's announcement last Friday that she will make a blockbuster personal revelation on Monday's show has prompted fevered interest in what, exactly, the big secret is.
"Over the past 25 years, The Oprah Winfrey Show has reunited a lot of people. But this time, Oprah is the one being reunited," says a note on her Web site. "Hear the family secret she's been keeping for months, straight from her."
Who is this mystery person? Some believe it's a previously unknown family member – possibly a birth parent, or as Winfrey biographer Kitty Kelley has alleged, a half-sister named Bunny who was given up for adoption at birth.
Vernon Winfrey, the talk show host's father, told the Associated Press on Sunday that he's in the dark, too. "I don't have the least idea of what she has in mind," he said.
Meanwhile, Winfrey and her camp are being tight-lipped ahead of the highly anticipated broadcast. One thing is for sure – Winfrey is excited about the revelation.
"This, my friends, is the miracle of all miracles," she said Friday.
