ADELE, "ROLLING IN THE DEEP"
This evocative piece captures the pain and power of Adele's breakup song from 21, her second set due Feb. 22. With plates shattering just like her heart-and a female warrior wielding some sharp weaponry-it cuts deep.
RICKY MARTIN, "THE BEST THING ABOUT ME IS YOU"
The song isn't so hot, but the video is pure eye candy, a Benetton-esque ad for equality and tolerance. It's cool to see him out and proud, a new gleam to his smile, standing with same-sex couples.
THIRTY SECONDS TO MARS, "HURRICANE"
Jared Leto may be more into his band these days, but this 13-minute short film-directed under his pseudonym Bartholomew Cubbins-shows his cinematic flair with an edgy darkness that warranted both censored and explicit versions.
KERI HILSON, "PRETTY GIRL ROCK"
Doing her own spin on the Chili Peppers' "Dani California" clip, Hilson traces decades of beautiful women-from Josephine Baker to a pajama-wearing TLC in the "Creep" video-while looking pretty fabulous herself.
PINK, "F**KIN' PERFECT"
The mama-to-be calls this a message of acceptance to her unborn child, but she keeps her rebellious streak intact with graphic depictions of sex, drugs and, most disturbingly, cutting. It's a timely tale of the alienation of a suicidal girl.
