She's going from Ugly to sexy!
America Ferrera will step into the legal arena on CBS's The Good Wife in her first television role since Ugly Betty ended last year.
Ferrera, 26, will come in as "a potential love interest for Alan Cumming's character, Eli," a source tells PEOPLE.
Her first episode airs Feb. 22, and she will be on for at least two more. Her character, a DePaul University student majoring in economics, "will play a central role in the political race for State's Attorney," the source says.
Also featured in the Feb. 22 episode are Jerry Stiller (as a judge who nods off constantly in a trial) and Gary Cole, returning as the love interest of Christine Baranski's character, Diane.
The Good Wife airs Tuesdays (10 p.m. ET) on CBS.
