"I've been really lucky in life," the San Antonio Spurs basketball player, 28, tells French radio station Europe1. "I've super family, friends – that's what's most important. When you look around with what's going on in the world – with sick children, people in real difficulties – I have no right to complain."
But that doesn't mean it's been easy.
Parker has been focusing on his basketball career as a way of "holding on," he says – an "escape." He's looking at the end of his three-year marriage as a life lesson, although whatever specific lessons he's learned, he prefers keeping to himself, he says.
"[Divorce] was hard but life goes on," he says. "Like anyone else, I've learned that life is full of experiences, and you learn from your mistakes. And go on."
"He adds: "No one's perfect. It's never easy."
As for Longoria, 35, well, she's not complaining either. On Wednesday, the Desperate Housewives star took to Twitter with a similar sentiment.
"Starting over is hard to do," she said, "but life goes on. I pray for strength, courage and wisdom on my new journey."
