"My daughter should do this professionally, she is so on it," Sarandon said Thursday at Brooklyn Academy of Music, where she's the subject of a four-day film retrospective called "The Susan Sarandon Picture Show." "Eva really has very clear ideas of what she wants. I've just weighed in on a couple of things."
"But I have very little responsibility," she added, "so I'm having a great time!"
Amurri, 25, announced her engagement to ESPN analyst (and retired soccer player) Kyle Martino, 29, on Twitter last December.
According to Sarandon, 64, who married young and then famously swore off marriage, it's actually her daughter who is teaching her something.
"Never having married that way myself, it's certainly been an education," she said. "I just surrender to her wedding plans."
And mom and bride are an agreement that the day should be fuss-free. "We want to have fun," Sarandon said. "It's going to be beautiful and meaningful and not that difficult."
