The legendary actress, who has been hospitalized since earlier this month, "will spend a quiet birthday this year as she continues to rest and recover at Cedars-Sinai," her rep tells PEOPLE.
"She plans to watch the Academy Awards with family and close friends and will be rooting for The King's Speech," the rep reveals. "A proper birthday celebration will be planned for when she returns home."
Taylor – who herself won Best Actress Oscars for BUtterfield 8 in 1961 and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? in 1967 – is "very grateful for all of the warm birthday wishes she has received from around the world," the rep adds.
