Ada Wong: Why I Cried Through The Biggest Loser

Now that I've had a little time to collect myself, I just want to start off by saying I cried like a baby the entire way through Tuesday night's episode of The Biggest Loser! You'd think I'd be desensitized by now having gone through the experience myself, but – nope! I sobbed from the hometown visits all the way through the end!

Alright, where do I start? Long sigh ... Arthur. I know in the past I would poke fun at his strategizing and comments but last night's episode tore me to pieces. I don't even have words to describe how I reacted to the scene when he walked into the weigh-in room with the red shirt. I see now that his unwise decisions, which lead to alienating himself from the rest of the group, were ultimately driven by his desperation to stay and change his life. I remember a time when I felt completely out of control and I didn't even burn any bridges with my cast! So I can only imagine how Arthur was feeling. What made the entire weigh-in scene even worse was seeing Jillian cry. She's tough as nails and that broke her.

Switching gears. I can't help but raise this question: Did the Red team really "struggle" at home or did they throw the weigh-in to vote Arthur out? I find it really hard to believe that so many of them had numbers that low. First off, Arthur clearly had the most weight to lose and secondly, he had no allegiance to the rest of the group. I am certainly not here to judge because the format of the show is, after all, a game. I think it'll be quite obvious when we see next week's numbers.

But before I head out, I want to leave on a positive note! I absolutely loved it when Hannah tricked Bob and Jillian at the weigh-in. It was hysterical!

See you next week!
Ada
