While Julianne Moore is brushing up on her Alaskan accent to play Sarah Palin in HBO's upcoming film Game Change, producers are going to need someone to play her former running mate, Sen. John McCain.

The movie, based on John Heilemann and Mark Halperin's bestselling book of the same name, is about McCain's 2008 presidential run.

So who in Hollywood could take on Arizona's war hero senator?

Robert Duvall may be very interested. The actor reportedly worked the floor at the GOP's 2008 national convention and narrated a video that was shown there. He even appeared at a campaign stop for McCain in New Mexico that same year.

Ed Harris may not be a Republican but he did play a presidential candidate in 1992's Running Mates, which costarred Diane Keaton, though he's better known for his roles in Pollock, The Hours and The Truman Show.

He's got a silly side – ┬íThree Amigos! anyone? – but Steve Martin could bring a sense of humor to the role. And any political race where a guy named Joe the Plumber becomes an overnight sensation deserves a the comedy treatment.

Then there's Battlestar Galactica's Michael Hogan – he plays Colonel Saul Tigh – who's simply a dead ringer for McCain. The Canadian actor has appeared in movies like The Day the Earth Stood Still and Red Riding Hood.
