CHRISTINA APPLEGATE gives Hall Pass' most credible performance as Grace, best friend of Fischer's Maggie. But using her sitcom-honed timing to add spark to big-screen comedies is nothing new for the actress, who also cracked me up as Drew Barrymore's older, bolder sister in Going the Distance. That wry humor will get her everywhere.
