Keith Urban Shares Personal Home Movie Footage
Every picture tells a story in Keith Urban's black and white music video for his new single, "Without You."
While the country star plays guitar in a sparsely furnished room, personal images from his life on the road, the stage, his wedding to Nicole Kidman and footage of daughter Sunday Rose in her crib are projected onto the white walls in the clip, which debuts Tuesday on iTunes, CMT and GAC.
Other intimate footage captures the married couple running playfully on a beach – and a bare-chested Urban getting out of a hotel room shower.
Although Urban didn't write "Without You" – which begins, "I've loved you since the very first day/When I caught you looking my way" – the song seems pulled straight from the experiences of his family life.
Urban and Kidman, both Aussies, met in 2005, married in 2006, had Sunday Rose in 2008 and welcomed their youngest daughter, Faith Margaret, in Dec. 2010.
"It was uncanny how much it was suited to my life," says Urban of the song, which was penned by Dave Pahanish and Joe West. "I think if I'd written something like this, I would have felt it wasn't poetically disguised enough. Maybe it's because I didn't write it [that] I was able to hear how authentic and truthful it is."
Up next for Urban: a performance at the 46th annual Academy of Country Music Awards on April 3, followed by a trip to Australia to kick off his Get Closer World Tour 2011 on April 14 in Sydney.
