Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert
, who has spent his fair share of nights carousing in bars, wants to take the road less traveled for his bachelor party.
"I think me and my buddies are going to take a camping trip somewhere," the country star, 34, tells Parade
magazine. "Maybe try to find something to go hunt. Turkey or bears or something like that. Something country."
Shelton, who will tie the knot
with fellow country singer Miranda Lambert
on May 14, says a more traditional bachelor party just wouldn't be special enough.
"The last 10 years of my life has been a bachelor party, so I don’t need an extra one night to add to my life," he says. "I've had plenty of that stuff."
It's going to be a busy spring for Shelton, who will be a coach
on NBC's new singing competition The Voice
, premiering April 26. But Lambert needn't worry – he'll have time for a honeymoon.
"I tell you what: when you are getting married to Miranda Lambert, you're going to make time for whatever she wants," Shelton says. "She'll have the wedding and the time with me she wants, whether I like it or not."
Not that he isn't committed to The Voice
. In fact, he's already feeling competitive – as he, Christina Aguilera
, Maroon 5's Adam Levine and Cee Lo will each coach their own team of hopefuls.
"Adam Levine [is my biggest competition]," Shelton says. "Cee Lo is not. He'll compete more with Christina on their outfits. Adam is a smart aleck just like I am. There are no boundaries with he and I, and we're willing to do anything to get the people that we want on our team and say anything. We're probably not as afraid to hurt the other coaches' feelings to win this thing."
