New Teen Wolf Much Darker than Original
High school werewolves have come a long way since Michael J. Fox in 1985.
Judging by the just-released trailer, MTV's upcoming series Teen Wolf will be much darker and more intense – into the realm of horror romance – than the campy '80s comedy that was its inspiration.
The series, clearly influenced by the Twilight films, stars Tyler Posey as Scott McCall, a shape-shifting teen who falls for the mysterious new girl in town, Allison, played by Crystal Reed. But his tendency to morph into a ferocious beast gets in the way of romance, to say the least.
The show premieres June 5 after the 2011 MTV Movie Awards.
