Kirstie Alley's Conspiracy Theory: Petra Nemcova 'Tampered with My Shoe'

Can you blame her for being suspicious?

After taking a tumble on Dancing with the Stars last week, Kirstie Alley had another unfortunate mishap on Monday night when her shoe came off during a waltz with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

"I do think it's a conspiracy," the actress told PEOPLE after the show. "I think that the other girls came into my dressing room and tampered with my shoe. And I'm not going to name any names ... Petra [Nemcova]."



Though Alley was joking, she spoke seriously about their routine, which earned her 22 points out of 30 – and compliments from the judges.

"Honestly, there were several mistakes that I made before that but when he spun me, my shoe just came off," she said. "I could have danced barefoot but it was hooked to my ankle so I couldn't get it off and I couldn't keep it on."

Though she recovered and managed to gracefully reattach her shoe, Alley had another hilarious take on what her reaction to the wardrobe malfunction: "I don't know what you do when these things happen," she said. "I'm an actress! We go like this, 'Cut! Cut! What the f–– is up with this shoe? I don't know. Get her a new pair of shoes! Get her 300 pairs of shoes.' "
