Pia Toscano recently opened up about her fondness for "sweet and extremely supportive" Mark Ballas, who took her out on a date last week.
But how does Ballas feel about the eliminated American Idol contestant?
At Monday's Dancing with the Stars performance show – after Ballas and partner Chelsea Kane topped the leaderboard – he called her "a really beautiful girl," and told PEOPLE, "She's really cool."
When asked after Tuesday's Dancing elimination if the two are dating, Ballas grew coy. "It is what it is," he said. "I'm having a great time. I have no complaints right now."
While Toscano, who termed Ballas a "really good friend," was nowhere to be seen in the audience Tuesday night when Ballas was saved from elimination, the dancer says she'll "maybe" be his guest to the show soon.
"I'll leave that for you to investigate," he said with a laugh.
Whatever their romantic status, the person responsible for facilitating their meeting says he did it because the two make a cute couple.
"They've gone on like one date together, so we'll see what happens," fellow Dancing contestant Chris Jericho said. "Maybe they can invite me to the wedding and I'll freeload off them for a free meal."
"It's funny," Jericho continued, "I didn't really do anything. I just passed a couple phone numbers around and look what happened – I'm casting my love spells."
