The Harry Potter franchise will go out with a bang, not a whimper, judging by the first photos of scenes from the final movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.
The swirling drama is palpable in newly released pics of Harry, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley (played by Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint), as well as the evil Bellatrix (Helena Bonham Carter) and Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes).
Other new photos (viewable exclusively on EW.com) show Harry wielding a sword in a vault at Gringotts Bank, and Neville Longbottom (Matthew Lewis) standing in the rubble during the Battle of Hogwarts.
Hallows: Part 2, the last installment in the franchise, hits theaters July 15, wrapping up a 10-year run.
