MTV's new scripted series Teen Wolf will have blood, supernatural intrigue and stunts worthy of blockbuster action movie but its star, Tyler Posey, knows what will really please viewers.
"My shirt is off more than half the time. I don't know what the appeal is. They're just man boobs," he says in a new promo for the show. "They're nothing that special. But that's probably the big reason why the girls are going to love the show – and because it's cool."
Posey, 19, plays Scott McCall, "the cool kid who was never accepted into the cool crowd," who was recently bit by a werewolf and is coming to terms with his new lycanthropic powers.
"Scott is always on a rollercoaster of emotion. He's always really happy or really depressed or angry. It's exhausting going through all those different emotions," Posey says. "It isn't that hard to get into character as a wolf because when I have all the makeup on I do feel really creepy. It really helps transform myself into the character."
And while Posey does get to show off his toned arms and chest in plenty of scenes, he knows that it will take more than a little shirtlessness to win over viewers. But he's not concerned.
"Teen Wolf is probably the coolest show that's ever going to come on TV history ever," he says. "It's very sexy. It's very scary. It adds all these different components to into it to make this one crazy, intense show."
