For the first time in the six-week trial against Casey Anthony, one of her family members seems to imply that the 25-year-old mother is guilty of the 2008 murder of 2-year-old Caylee.

Casey's father, George Anthony, took the stand Wednesday morning and almost immediately burst into tears during his testimony.

"The car smelled like human decomposition. Caylee was last seen with Casey," he testified. "One and one adds up to two in my mind. I was trying to put all the stories together. "

At this, Casey Anthony shook her head vigorously and wrote notes to her legal team.

As defense attorney Jose Baez aggressively questioned him, George Anthony lashed out. "I was a father concerned for his daughter and also his granddaughter," he snapped. "You're trying to take this joy of my life away from me, sir, and you can't do it anymore. How dare you."

As jurors looked on, George Anthony began to weep as he recounted learning that Caylee's remains had been found.

"A deep, deep hurt inside," he recalled. "Tears, the whole gamut of an emotional breakdown. Seeing what my wife and son went through."

He paused and started sobbing, unable to finish.

"I need to get through this," he said, his voice barely audible. "I need something inside of me to help me get through this."

Asked if he ever sexually molested Casey, George Anthony answered forcefully. "Sir, I never would do anything to harm my daughter in that way," he replied.

At this, attorney Baez raised an eyebrow. "Only in that way?" he asked. The prosecution quickly objected.

"You are argumentative, sir," said Anthony. "I'm trying to be calm. I have been nice to you."

Asked about his 2009 suicide attempt, Anthony said "it just seemed like the right time to go, to be with Caylee. To spend time with Caylee. I didn't want to be in this world anymore."

Although some members of the gallery started crying during the testimony, Casey Anthony displayed no reaction.

If found guilty, Anthony could face the death penalty.
