The newlyweds made their summer Laguna Beach retreat a family affair, inviting their parents, Cibrian's sons – Mason, 7, and Jake, 4 – and their best friends' brood.
"It was a very special week for us all," the country songstress, 28, wrote of their vacation, which was in celebration of her husband's birthday and Father's Day, on her blog. "It takes a lot for us all to relax and shut off because we all have so many responsibilities, but for this one week, life was easy and perfect."
Growing up, Rimes said she never went on family getaways because money was tight leading up to her parents' divorce. But lesson learned: "This past week has taught us all in our family to make enjoying more time with each other the first priority in our lives," she explained. "You never know what tomorrow may bring."
