After a disastrous performance in Belgrade, Serbia, last month and the subsequent cancellation of her European summer tour, Amy Winehouse can take comfort in the fact that at least one fan has her back: her teenage goddaughter and protégé Dionne Bromfield.

"I wouldn't even say five percent of the stuff written about her is true," Bromfield, 15, who was the first artist to be signed to Winehouse's Lioness Records, tells the U.K.'s Company magazine. "Even if she does do something good on stage, [the media] still make her sound awful."

She adds: "All it takes is for her to blink while the press are flashing cameras, and it looks like she's drunk. … That's not the Amy I know – the real Amy."

Bromfield, who released her second album this week, says the two enjoy more low-key activities than Winehouse, 27, is known for, like painting their nails and watching My Name is Earl.

"She calls me Big Sister, which is silly because she's twice my age," Bromfield says of her godmother. "But she says I give her more advice than she gives me."
