Cindy Anthony, who provided important testimony during daughter Casey's successful defense in a murder trial, was rebuffed in her attempt to visit Casey in a Florida jail on Friday, an official said.

"This morning under policy, Casey was told of the visit and she has declined the visit so it will not occur," jail spokesman Allen Moore tells Reuters.

In surprising testimony, Cindy took responsibility for seemingly incriminating computer searches prosecutors claimed Casey made before the disappearance of 2-year-old daughter Caylee.

Cindy claimed she, not Casey, did the computer search for "chloroform" because she "was worried that it might affect my dogs," adding, "I was worried about them eating bamboo."

She also took responsibility for looking up "chest injuries," which was another search term found on the Anthony family computer.

Casey – who was acquitted on Tuesday of abusing and murdering her little girl – remains jailed until July 17 for her conviction on lesser charges of lying to law enforcement officers.
