Los Angeles residents are bracing for a major freeway closure that promises to keep people homebound this weekend.
Dubbed "Carmageddon," the closing of Interstate 405 has also been on the minds of some of the city's more famous folks – though not everyone plans to hunker down at home as some officials have suggested.
"I think I want to throw a tailgate party," joked Maroon 5 singer – and The Voice coach – Adam Levine on Twitter. "Meet me at the 405."
Still, the promise of massive traffic has deterred some from making plans.
Tweeted Paris Hilton: "Hey LA, who's scared of Carmageddon? I'm not leaving my house to drive anywhere this weekend."
"This weekend LA! Avoid Carmageddon," Tom Hanks added via Twitter. "Gas-zilla, 405-enstein, Grid-lock-apalooza! STAY HOME. Eat & shop local!"
