Wowing the crowd with his choreography, his smiles and his kisses to female fans, Marc Anthony commanded the stage of i
mon Bolívar Metropolitan Park stage in Bogotá, Colombia, Saturday night.
The only nod to his marital woes
came in the form of a joke about being single
But this was not the aloof and visibly sad Marc Anthony witnesses saw before the show, sources tell PEOPLE.
The Bogotá stop came just one day after Friday's news that the musician, 42, was ending his marriage
to his wife of seven years, Jennifer Lopez
"I saw him when he was passing through the stage, but I think because he split up the day before, he didn't allow anyone to talk to him or anyone to come to his dressing room," Spanish TV presenter Eva Rey tells PEOPLE.
Rey was scheduled to introduce Anthony Friday night at a pre-show party, only Anthony did not appear.
"The people who worked with him said he was a little bit upset, so because of that, they tried to keep everybody from him," says Rey.
Anthony also kept to himself in his hotel room, in stark contrast to other times he's been in town, another source tells PEOPLE. "Everything he ordered was by room service. He was distant from people."
But he didn't hold back came time to face the fans at the concert, which was no surprise to his guitarist, Mario Sebastian.
"He's a performer. He is as confident as all the band members are," Sebastian tells PEOPLE. "The show always will go on."
