Hushing tabloid rumors that they were breaking up, Bieber, 17, and Gomez, 19, showed a united front from the front row of the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif.
Although both stars arrived solo, the two sat next to each other for the show after Gomez rocked the stage with her band – Selena Gomez & the Scene – to sing "Love You Like a Love Song."
Despite reports that Gomez was upset about Bieber's older, edgier friends, including Chris Brown, Sean Kingston and Lil Wayne, the couple left the amphitheater holding hands. Bieber kept his free hand on the small of her back, and they kissed goodbye before being whisked into separate cars.
Kingston, who walked the red carpet for the first time since his near-fatal jet ski accident, also brushed off the reports, telling PEOPLE the chatter is "all rumors. Selena's my friend. We're all friends."
