It's official!
Jennifer Lopez will return to American Idol for a second season as a judge, producer Nigel Lythgoe confirms.
"I am delighted to say that all three judges, along with the brilliant host of American Idol is back for the next season," Lythgoe said Wednesday on Ryan Seacrest's radio show.
Lopez, who's been close to signing the deal for weeks, will join original judge Randy Jackson and rocker Steven Tyler on the panel for season 11 of FOX's hit singing competition.
Season 11 auditions will take place in Denver, Houston, St. Louis, Portland, Ore., San Diego, Pittsburgh and Charleston, N.C., and kick off in a couple weeks, according to Seacrest's Twitter page.
While Lythgoe was the first person to make Lopez's return official, The Wrap reported last week that the "Love" singer had re-upped as a judge for the series for a princess-ly sum of just over $20 million – a significant pay raise over the $12 million that she'd previously taken in.
