The 30 Rock star welcomed a healthy baby girl, Penelope Athena Richmond, on Wednesday with her composer husband Jeffrey Richmond, 50, her rep tells PEOPLE.
The multiple Emmy-winner joked with Ellen DeGeneres during her pregnancy that she and her husband wanted to wait to discover the baby's gender. "I'm just going to see what it chooses to wear to prom," Fey said at the time.
The comedian also called her second pregnancy "easy."
The Bossypants author, 41, first revealed her pregnancy to Oprah Winfrey in April.
She spoke about agonizing over having a second kid – but explained how she and her husband decided it was time to expand their family.
Said Fey at the time: "My husband and I really decided that we felt rather than risk having 30 Rock end in several years and feeling like part of our family is missing that we were going to prioritize our family."
