Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel Bike & Brunch in Toronto

Are they working on their relationship or just working off a big brunch?

Justin Timberlake was spotted biking around Toronto on Sunday with former girlfriend Jessica Biel – shortly after grabbing breakfast with her at the Swan.

"They were in good spirits," says an eyewitness who was at the cozy, art deco diner on Queen Street West at the same time. "They seemed happy. They had brunch together. They were talking. They enjoyed their food. They had a nice time."

It's been more than five months since the couple of four years broke up, and a source close to Timberlake tells PEOPLE, it's no shock they are hanging out.



"They always remained friendly after the split and spent time together," the source says.

Biel is currently shooting the Total Recall remake with Colin Farrell and Kate Beckinsale in the Canadian city.
