"I think at this point, I’d eventually like to work behind the camera," Thomas, 30, who quit the sitcom in 1998, tells Entertainment Weekly. "That’s not to say I would never act again, I’m not quite sure to be honest. I still have a passion for TV and film [and] could see myself working in it."
As for his reunion with his former castmates, including his on-screen parents Tim Allen and Patricia Richardson, Thomas says, "It was like a family reunion, like old times."
His fans' excitement over seeing him back in the public eye is also just like old times. What does the Thomas make of all the attention?
"That actually sort of surprises me," he says. "I didn’t know there would be that kind of response."
