When Cheryl Burke told Dancing with the Stars viewers without hesitation on Monday night that her partner Rob Kardashian has more dancing "potential" than his sister Kim Kardashian, who competed on season 7 of the show, there were apparently no hard feelings.
"My sister knows it, too," Rob told PEOPLE backstage after the show. "She expects me to do better than her, and I expect myself to do better than she did."
Kim – who was eliminated third during her season – joined her brother-in-law Lamar Odom and her sisters Khloé and Kourtney in the audience at Monday's live taping, where they cheered their younger sibling on from the front row.
"It was fun having them there," Rob said. "They get to see their brother in front of 20 million people doing a gentlemen's dance. I think they thought it was pretty cool that I was doing my own thing."
Even though Rob's family had to watch him receive harsh criticism from judges, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians costar didn't let that get him down.
"I was very comfortable and surprisingly not nervous," he says. "I was calm the entire time, which was awesome. I was happy. I don't even care about what the judges said. I was just happy that I was having fun."
