• If it's too hot … turn up the air conditioning? Kim Kardashian and new hubby Kris Humphries were sitting very close to a hot pizza oven during a recent dinner at Serafina in N.Y.C. After requesting that the restaurant pump up the air conditioning, staffers brought over a fan to their table to keep them cool. Kim was very gracious, a source says, adding that she exchanged many smiles with her new husband. "Kris was showing his playful side, and Kim seemed to be enjoying every minute," the source says.
• LeAnn Rimes was out buying lots of kids clothes for her stepsons during a shopping trip at Splendid at West Hollywood's The Grove shopping center, while hubby Eddie Cibrian did an interview with Extra! Afterward, the Playboy Club star met his wife at the store and they took off arm-in-arm.
• Jennifer Hudson, in a sparkly dress, gave a surprise performance at Chicago's Studio Paris, the lounge inside the Paris Club. During her five-song set, Hudson treated the crowd to singles such as "Spotlight" and also shared her love for her Windy City hometown. During "No One Gonna Love You," the singer plucked a lucky guy from the audience and sang to him.
• Shia LaBeouf is continuing to check out Vancouver: the actor, who's in town filming The Company You Keep, was spotted shopping on Robson Street, then doing some people-watching at a bus stop on Granville Street in downtown Vancouver while sipping some Starbucks coffee.
