Kristin Cavallari Dodges Questions About Jay Cutler on Dancing with the Stars

Are Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler officially back on?

The Chicago Bears quarterback, 28, was in the ballroom for Monday's Dancing with the Stars performances and applauded proudly for Cavallari and pro partner Mark Ballas after their sexy samba.

The next day the exes, who are working things out, were spotted holding hands while out for breakfast in Los Angeles.

Although the former Hills star, 24, used to talk openly about her relationship with Cutler, she dodged questions about her former fiancé on Monday night.

"She's not going to talk about it," Ballas told PEOPLE backstage after the show.

Cavallari, who let out a giddy giggle when asked about Cutler's appearance at the show, quickly acknowledged another fan she had in the crowd.

"My dad was here," she said. "It was nice."

Even if she wasn't talking directly about Cutler, Cavallari did admit to feeling anxious about having loved ones in the audience on a night of emotional performances.

"I always get a little bit nervous when I have close friends and family here," she said. "I try not to look at them. I try just to tune them out."

Perhaps it's a case of actions – and nerves – speaking louder than words.
