Quaid, 57, has put his sprawling Emigrant, Mont., property – half the size of New York's Central Park – on the market for $14 million. JamesList has posted a set of lavish photos of the place, which includes a 5,300-square-foot main residence, four guest houses, a ranch manager's home and horse facilities.
Located in the Paradise Valley of southwest Montana, near Yellowstone National Park, the ranch also offers fishing along two miles of Six Mile Creek and two ponds, as well as historic gold mines.
Quaid bought the ranch about 25 years ago from director Sam Peckinpah and actor Warren Oates, who owned it together, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The Soul Surfer star, whose main residence is in Austin, Texas, tells the Journal that he decided to sell the Montana place because he wants to buy a home in Hawaii, where he can enjoy "the new love of my life, which is surfing."
