Ashley Biden, the daughter of Vice President Joe Biden, is engaged to physician Howard Krein.
"Their entire family is thrilled," says a statement from the Vice President's office.
Ashley, a social worker, and Krein, who is based in Philadelphia, have been dating for more than a year.
