The weight-loss drug Phentermine appears to have contributed to the death of football-star-turned-actor Bubba Smith last summer.

The 6'7", 300-lb. Smith, who died at age 66, suffered from acute intoxication of the drug along with other conditions, according to his autopsy, reports the Associated Press.

Smith, who after pro sports played mild-mannered Moses Hightower in six Police Academy films, also had heart disease, an enlarged heart and up to 75 percent blockage of some blood vessels.
