After lying low with family and friends in his home state of Minnesota
for the past two weeks, Kris Humphries surfaced in New York on Monday evening.
Humphries, who is in town "on business," says a source close to the 26-year-old, is working on moving on from his "devastating" split after 72 days of marriage
to Kim Kardashian
While reports surfaced that Humphries is refusing to sign divorce papers and that he's hired a new lawyer, Minnesota-based Lee Hutton, to challenge Kardashian in court, sources close to Humphries insist neither story is true.
"He will be signing the papers," says a source close to Humphries, adding that there will be no war between the two
. And as for the reportedly new legal team: "There's nothing new about it," says the source. "[Hutton's] been his lawyer since day one."
On Monday night, Humphries was spotted eating with a guy friend, his manager and his manager's wife at Serafina, a restaurant he used to dine at
with Kardashian when visiting the Big Apple.
Meanwhile Kardashian has been keeping a low profile in Los Angeles since returning over the weekend from filming Tyler Perry's The Marriage Counselor
On Saturday night, the reality star joined her family for little sister Kendall Jenner's 16th birthday bash
Kardashian did, however, surface on her blog Monday, apologizing to fans for her "break" from updating and thanking her "loyal blog dolls" for being "nothing but supportive" during her difficult time.
