She may be topping the music charts
posthumously, but Amy Winehouse
will never be the subject of a biographical film, according to her father.
Mitch Winehouse, who owns the rights to his late daughter's music, told Britain's Daily Mail
that he will "never allow the songs to be released."
Rumors recently surfaced that Amy's ex-boyfriend, filmmaker Reg Traviss
, had been in talks to produce a biopic about the singer, who died in July
at age 27.
"It would hardly be a biopic without the music," according to a steadfast Mitch Winehouse, who said he plans to release a book about Amy. All proceeds from the book sales will go to The Amy Winehouse Foundation
, a charity organization established after her death to help children in need.
