Brandi Glanville on Non-Legal Marriage: 'Suck It'

Brandi Glanville may have taken her faux New Year's Eve nuptials with BFF Darin Harvey lightly, but her parents hoped they had something real to celebrate.

"My dad called me," the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills personality, 38, explained to E! News on Tuesday. "They love Darin, so they've wanted me to marry him forever. They're like, 'You finally did it!' I'm like, 'Well, kind of.' "

Along with mom and dad, Glanville's online following also refused to believe the marriage was a joke.

"I got like 3,000 new [Twitter] followers in two hours," Eddie Cibrian's ex-wife says. "I wrote back, 'It's not legal, It's not binding,' just to be clear. And I still kept getting congratulations."

Glanville uses being "a little nutty" as the simple reasoning behind her decision to say "I do" in the Las Vegas chapel ceremony that she calls unromantic.

"He's my best friend," she says about her pal who has asked her to marry him for two years. "I'm always down to have a good time. It sounded like something different. It was on my bucket list [to] get married in Vegas, so why not? ... We're not really married, but we went through the motions and we had a good time."

As for people hating on her publicity-attracting vows?

"Suck it," she says. "That's pretty much it."
