A couple who have drawn comparisons to Bonnie and Clyde after an alleged week-long crime spree through two states were arrested Tuesday in Nevada without a fight.
Logan McFarland, 24, and Angela Atwood, 25, were nabbed by police after being spotted walking along a country road by a rancher in his plane, ABC News
reports. "We give up," they allegedly said when confronted.
Police believe McFarland and Atwood's crime spree began last Thursday, when they stole a car in Moroni, Utah. The next day, they allegedly killed an elderly couple in their house in neighboring Mount Pleasant after a botched robbery.
The day after that, they allegedly shot a woman in Nevada while stealing her car. That woman is reportedly recovering after surgery.
McFarland and Atwood evaded police during one high-speed car chase, but had nowhere to run after being cornered following the tip from the rancher. A Nevada Highway Patrol trooper told the Associated Press that the arrest was "pretty calm."
