Six weeks after her horrific plane accident
, model Lauren Scruggs greeted her parents Cheryl and Jeff Scruggs and her twin sister Brittany on Tuesday outside the Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation in Dallas – and was seen laughing and joking with them and looking just great, as evidenced in photos shown Thursday on ABC's Good Morning America
Wearing a baseball cap and workout gear, Lauren was flashing a smile and hugging her father, with her eye patch and empty sleeve the only signs of what she lost
when she walked into a airplane propeller after a Christmas lights sightseeing trip over Dallas.
While admitting on her CaringBridge.org blog
that "It's hard to hear her tears," Lauren's mother Cheryl Scruggs credits the family's faith for her daughter's remarkable recovery
According to GMA
, Lauren, 23, spent the day at the center and seemed in good spirits.
